Patricia today welcomed the Government's plan to invest in apprenticeships and skills during a visit to the new £1.5million BCA vocational skills centre, in the grounds of Fullhurst College.
From this autumn, the Government will support every 18 year old without the equivalent of 2 A levels to achieve that by paying for their training.
Patricia said "Our message is – whatever path you choose to take, whatever your talents, if you want to get a good, well paid job, and get on in life, we’re on your side."
The new vocational skills centre provides training and skills courses in construction and motor engineering.
Gwen Abraham, Vice-Chair of the BCA said "It will be a great facility and another exciting development for Braunstone, giving our young people the hands-on skills that are much needed in Leicester."
Patricia said "The new centre is fantastic - and a vital development for Braunstone."
