Patricia was delighted to visit the Creative Braunstone Art Exhibition recently, now in its second year and with over 90 pieces of work on display.
As part of the ‘Creative Braunstone’ initiative, which is a BCA led partnership of local and City based organisations and schools, the exhibition gives the opportunity to local people to display their works of art, including paintings, sketches, photography, hand made jewellery, sculpture, ceramics and textiles.

Patricia said "This is a brilliant opportunity for people in Braunstone to demonstrate their talent. It was great to see everyone from the community getting involved - from pre school children to senior citizens."
Barbara Blatherwick from the BCA said "Last year we staged the exhibition with the work of a handful of people but felt that they were just the tip of the iceberg; the response this year has proved that we were right."

Many exhibitors have simply followed their interest at home and never had their work acknowledged; this exhibition allows their talent to be recognised and provides Braunstone with a reason to be proud. I am sure that this event is here to stay and will hopefully become part of Leicester’s cultural calendar."
